Academic Qualification
  • Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or comparable institution, or an equivalent qualification

Language Proficiency Requirement

Applicants are expected to meet at least one of the following qualifications:

  1. A bachelor’s degree earned from a recognized English-medium institution; or
  2. TOEFL scores of 79 (internet-based); or
  3. A band score of 6.5 or above in IELTS; or
  4. Other language requirements as set by the University

  • Identity Document(s) (Passport, National ID card and HKID (if any), visa related document (if any));
  • Up-to-date transcript(s) with a clear explanation of the grading system/scale;
  • Graduation diploma(if applicable); 
  • Degree certificate (if applicable);
  • English test result / EMI proof (if applicable);
  • Curriculum vitae;
  • Work experience proof (if applicable);
  • Reference letter; 
Application Periods & Selection Process

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an online interview during the application period or until all places are filled. We recommend that non-local applicants apply as early as possible to allow sufficient time for applying for a student visa*. It's important to note that admitted applicants from overseas or mainland China must obtain a student visa to study in Hong Kong.

*All student visa applicants should submit their study applications well before the deadline as the visa processing can take up to six weeks.

Application Procedures

  1. Complete the online application form.

  2. It is recommended to select one academic referee and one professional referee (if you have work experience). The academic referee should be able to comment on your academic ability and preferably have direct experience of your academic work. The professional referee can be your current or previous employer who should be able to assess your professional abilities.

  3. Check the accuracy of your referee’s email addresses as reference request emails are sent to your referees once you submit your application. Referees are contacted by the Taught Postgraduate Studies Section, Academic Registry via email with detailed instructions on how to submit an online reference form.

  4. Upload all supporting documents together with the Application Form to the application website of the Taught Postgraduate Studies Section, Academic Registry, and pay the non-refundable application fee.
